PG Admission Notification for the Academic Year 2020-2021
Candidates who are seeking admission to PG Courses (Shift I & Shift II) instructed to apply through online @ www.pcmkpm.edu.in. The commencement of online application for PG Courses starts from 15.10.2020, 6.00 p.m. The cost of Application for Shift I Courses is Rs. 60/- and Shift II Courses is Rs. 160/- Application fee should be paid through online application portal. Application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Only Online Applications will be considered for admission.
Candidates must send hard copy of Downloaded Application through post or in-person along with self-attested copies of the following certificates on or before 09.11.2020, 5.p.m in a A4 cover addressed to " The Principal, Pachaiyappa's College for Men, Kanchipuram-631501. "

About College
The mission and vision of imparting high quality of education and developing the students in the right path to meet the challenges and needs of the global society is visualised through the foundation of Pachaiyappa’s College for Men, Kanchipuram in 1950 by the Pachaiyappa’s Trust. This institution is a boon to the poor and backward students who are living in and around the ancient temple town Kanchipuram. With the affiliation of the University of Madras, Chennai and recognition by the Government of Tamil Nadu and the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, the College offers various Graduate, Post-Graduate and Research courses under Choice Based Credit System.

General Guidelines for Online Application
- Candidates seeking admission to Shift – I and Shift – II for the academic year
2020-2021 should apply through online only at our college website
www.pcmkpm.edu.in
- Candidates can apply for both shift - I and Shift – II by using the registration link
given in the admission portal.
- Candidates need to give their valid email id and mobile number for registration.
Without email id and mobile number students cannot proceed
with online application. Those who have not email id kindly create the same and
use it for future reference.
- Candidates will receive an OTP through SMS (One Time Password) to validate
mobile number. Hence applicants are advised to keep the mobile number with
them at the time of applying.
- Once registered applicants will receive their user id and password in their
registered mobile number. Candidates can login using user id and password.
- Candidates can apply for both Shift I and Shift II in a single application if they
wish and pay for the courses selected as per norms. Hence candidates are advised
to read the prospectus carefully and confirm their eligibility before proceeding to
apply.
- Application will be considered for admission only after successful uploading of
documents. Aplications received without uploaded documents are invalid even if
the candidate paid application fee. Application fees once paid will not be
refunded under any circumstances.
- Candidates will receive admission updates to registered mobile number or email
id or in Login Dashboard. However, Candidates should visit the college website
www.pcmkpm.edu.in regularly for admission updates. College is not responsible
for any communication failure happened due to technical errors occurred during
the admission process.
- Candidates can download their submitted application in their dashboard by
logging in the admission portal and should take printout and produce the same at
the time of counselling along with original certificates and Photostat copies as
mentioned in the prospectus.
- Only completed application forms with the marks scored in the qualifying
examination will be considered for processing after verifying the payment made.
- Request for change/correction in the application form shall not be entertained
under any circumstances after submitting the application forms.

Instructions for Online Application
Applicants are required to read the instructions given below carefully, before proceeding to the
online application form
To apply online the candidates have to register themselves in User Registration Page. The
Candidates will receive a SMS containing User Name and Password to their registered Mobile
Number after verification of their mobile number in user registration Page. Hence candidates
are instructed to keep the registered mobile number with them for uninterrupted
communication.
- 1. Before submitting the online application form, applicants must upload the following scanned

- 2. Applicants can edit the application details before the payment of application fee by clicking on the
Login button.
- 3. Editing/updating details on the application form will not be possible after payment.
- 4. Applicants may pay the application fee through Internet banking, Credit/Debit Card, UPI
Wallet.
- 5. Application fee will not be refunded on any account even if the application is rejected.
- 6. Applicants can check application status and application fee status by logging-in the College website
using Login Credentials created during registration.
- 7. No information will be sent to the applicants who have not been called for the counseling / have
not been provisionally selected.
- 8. The College has the right to reject applications that are
a. Incomplete
b. Incorrect/have wrong information
c. Lacking in required documents
d. Received without the payment of application fee.
- 9. The provisionally selected candidates called for interview are required to be present along with
Parent/Guardian on the specified date. The intimation of selection of Provisional Selection List
will be uploaded in the website. No other mode of communication will send to the candidate in
this regard. Hence the candidates seeking for admission into college are advised to visit the
website www.pcmkpm.edu.in from to time regarding admission updates.
- 10. Selected applicants must pay the prescribed fees and submit their original certificates with 3 sets of
photocopies on the day of counseling. Late Payment will not be accepted. Failing of payment on
the day of counseling will lead to cancellation of provisional selection. Failing of producing
Transfer Certificate on the day of counseling will lead to cancellation of provisional selection
- 11. Hostel facility is not available in our campus. Students may approach Govt. Hostel for
accommodation after getting admission in the college. College will issue a Bonafide
Certificate and no recommendation will be forwarded to Hostel administration in this
regard.
- 12. Candidates are advised to visit college website http://www.pcmkpm.edu.in from time to time for
admission updates. The institute is not responsible for any miscommunication in this regard, if any.

Extra-curricular Activities
National Service Scheme (NSS)
We proudly say that we have three NSS Units in our college having capacity to admit 300 students in an academic year. At NSS, we take this opportunity to train our students to serve the community dedicatedly and selflessly and inculcate responsibility and leadership qualities in them. We work independently and sometimes join with District Administration and neighbor institutes and organize many programmes for the benefit of the society. We regularly conduct Residential Camps and make our students to share the resources and help one another and inculcate human values among them.
National Cadet Corps (NCC)
At PCMKPM, we train the students to realize and value the core objective of inception of NCC in our country that “the need to create a youth organization at National level to train the young boys and girls to be better citizens and future leaders of our country in all walks of life, including defense forces.” Our NCC Unit is one of the most prestigious and heritage units in our Battalion. Our students have been participating in National Level Firing Camps, Trekking Camps and participate in RDC consistently. We proud that many of our students have been entered into Defense Department both at State and National Level having been trained at our college.
Youth Red Cross (YRC)
From the time of inception of the forum in our college, we started growing like a banyan tree in various avenues such as organizing blood donation camps, awareness rallies, extending voluntary services to district administration
Red Ribbon Club (RRC)
Spearheaded by the Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society (TNSACS), this programme is supported by the Higher Education Department and demonstrating the importance of inter-sector collaboration to address the issue of HIV / AIDS. RRC empower students in the age group of 17-25, by giving them information and life-skills to protect themselves from HIV/AIDS and changing the most active among them into peer educators. We do conduct awareness programmes and rallies to create awareness against the ills of HIV / AIDS.
Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA 2.0)
We are the pioneer in implementing UBA and its present form UBA 2.0 in Kanchipuram District. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is inspired by the vision of transformational change in rural development processes by leveraging knowledge institutions to help build the architecture of an Inclusive India. The Mission of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is to enable higher educational institutions to work with the people of rural India in identifying development challenges and evolving appropriate solutions for accelerating sustainable growth. It also aims to create a virtuous cycle between society and an inclusive academic system by providing knowledge and practices for emerging professions and to upgrade the capabilities of both the public and the private sectors in responding to the development needs of rural India.
Special Features
Placement Cell
Career Guidance and Placement Cell function with perseverance and responsibility to enable the
students to choose their career in a right path. The cell regularly organizes skill development and
personality development programmes. We conduct Campus Selection Drive every year and our
students get placement in many companies. We guide students not only to get job in the industry
but also to choose a right career for them. We also update students regarding higher studies and
research opportunities available to them after completing graduation at our Campus.
Scholarships
Our college facilitates the students to get Government Scholarships awarded by Govt. of Tamil
Nadu under various categories through welfare departments. We also provide various
Endowments and Cash Prize Awards through our college to the needy, poor, and meritorious
students every year.
Labs
Our college promotes inquisitive learning among students with well-equipped lab facilities. We
have state-of-art science Laboratories for each subjects; Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, and Botany.
We also have a State-of-Art Computer Lab which enables the students to improve their computing
skills.
Library
Our Library is enriched with Notable and Rare Collection of Books, Magazines, and Journal almost
covering all domains. A dedicated Library Block enables the students to prepare for their academics
and competitive exams in a peaceful and study environment.
Sports & Physical Education
At Pachaiyappa’s, we create more opportunities for our students to participate in Sports and
Games. We have a fitness gym at our playground which helps our students to grow healthy in their
teens. We bag championships in many sports activities and tournaments held at University of
Madras Zone A Level and inter zone levels. and Tournaments organized by other institution. We
also conduct Pachaiyappa’s Trophy, a Trophy named after our mentor Thiru. Vallal. Pachaiyappar to
honor his benevolence and vision upon the lives of the poor and the needy in terms of Education.
Our students represent various teams of University of Madras at National Level and prove their
competency and bag many titles to the University.
